Manhattan: Before the Dark Age
48″ x 36″ | 2004 | Acrylic and pen | NFS
Lost in the streets, a city of wonderful morning light, optimistic possibilities saturate the pavement and structures. This golden age is not impervious to change however. Civilizations evolve, but not always towards enlightenment.
The strongest of societies are built on the gentlest webs. The idea of entering a new dark age and the moments that lie before it are the subject of this artwork.
