Through the Light of an Aquarium

28″x 22″ | 2021 | Acrylic and pen | NFS

The mid 1970s, while looking at fish in an aquarium, the random thought of Queen Elizabeth I‘s portrait, seen in a book several days earlier, pops in a young child’s mind.  The thought, like all waves, radiates this assemblage of energy outside of the child’s physical boundaries and through the light and water of the aquarium, distorting it.

40 years later, the same person tries to recall the portrait of the Queen
, the memory quickly assembles an image , combined with various other images and memories that have been collected throughout the person’s life.

The two thoughts harmonize, creating a reverberation within the dimension of time. This new creation taking root, to be visited by the one who thought it in the reality of dreams.
